Q: Where are the guidelines for the Officer of the day (OOD)?

Q: How do I find out my results?
Results are displayed after each race on the Club Notice Board. Races series and Cup Races are also published on the website on a regular basis.

Q: Are there any Dinghy Spaces?
There are no dinghy spaces left this year but there may be some temporary spaces available. Contact Tony Fastnedge for availability. For more information on dinghy park spaces and rates go to Dinghy Park Page
Q: When is the club open?
The Club is open throughout the racing season according to
the Programme; this includes
Youth Sailing evenings.
The Club Bar is open
Every Sunday from 12pm
Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm when racing is programmed
Friday evenings from 6pm
Q: Can I park my car at the club?
Car parking is restricted to permit holders only. There are NO full week car park permits left. Limited mid-week parking permits (i.e. Monday-Friday except Bank Holidays or after 18.00 on Wednesdays) can still be purchased by full members; contact the Secretary.
Q: Who organizes Cruiser moorings?
Moorings are arranged by the Harbour Master: Mike Poupard 01297 442137 and not by the Sailing Club.
Q: Where can I stay in Lyme?
Lyme Regis is a popular holiday resort with many offerings for visitors: hotels, B&B, self catering, camping, etc. See the Links page for useful websites such as the Lyme Tourist Office.
Q: Can I learn to sail at Lyme?
Lyme Regis Sea School is a partner organization with the Club; more details on facilities, summer courses, etc. on the Sea School Website
Q: Are there moorings for visiting boats?
Visitor moorings inside and outside the harbour are arranged by the Harbour Master: Mike Poupard 01297 442137 and not the Club.
Q: What classes of boats sail at Lyme?
Current (2007) classes include Albacores (20), Lasers (16) plus Radials & 4.7s, Phantoms (8), Fireballs, RSs 200/400/700, Scorpions, Redeye Solutions, Wayfarers, together with a small number of other classes.
Q: Can visitors come and race at the club?
Visitors are not allowed to enter club races. There are however, many open events throughout the racing season for various classes of boats; check our Programme for dates
Q: Can I use the club facilities when on holiday at Lyme?
Temporary membership is available to visitors; contact the Secretary prior to your holiday. As a temporary member your are entitled to use of the Club facilities for a period not exceeding 28 days. Temporary members have no right to introduce guests or visitors to the Club, nor enter Club races, nor park in the club car-park.
