Easter Egg Cup – Easter Monday only!

No racing on Saturday or Easter Sunday due to lack of wind, left Easter Monday the only contested races for the Easter Egg Cup. A light SW breeze built sufficiently during the half-hour postponement to enable Race Officer Simon Boyle to lower the AP and call the waiting fleet out to the start. ‘The first race of the day saw Allan and Chrissy Tyler establish an early lead and sail a tactical race to stay just ahead of rivals Jerry and Pauline Rook, also in an Albacore. Jack Young in his Phantom, caught the wind shifts and finished third,’ commented Simon. The second race began with an individual recall for Cameron and Darrol Moss who were disqualified, while Simon Heusen (Phantom) made use of the strengthening breeze and beat the Tylers and Rooks on handicap.
