Candles on the Cobb

This year’s Candles on the Cobb saw the lighting of 5000 tea-light candles, raising thousands of pounds for local and national charities.

For anyone who would like to see or download the full video sent to Spotlight, here is the link: The link has an expiry date so hurry!

The first Candles on the Cobb event took place in 2000 and raised £7,200, the subsequent event in 2003 raised £15,000, in 2005 £16,000, in 2008 the event raised £18,000, in 2012 £22,000 and the last event in 2015 an outstanding £40,000!

A delightful event that has supported many local charities; Lyme Regis Youth Causes have received 50% of all funds raised and significant donations have been made to Help for Heroes, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, Diabetes Research, Cancer Research & CLIC/Sergeant, Devon & Cornwall & Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulances and Make a Wish UK.

A big THANK YOU to everyone involved!
